Pierre-Henri Rougeot

Pierre-Henri Rougeot

"One of the most exciting new winemakers to watch!" Jasper Morris MW

After graduating, Pierre-Henri spent a year in the vineyards of Domaine de Montille and later sold oak barrels to some of the most respected names, such as Philippe Alliet in Chinon, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in Burgundy and Jean-Francois Ganevat in Jura. It gave him insights into how different kinds of great wines are affected by the oak style.

With his family rooted in the centre of Meursault, Pierre-Henri has now been quietly producing impeccable minimal intervention and minimal-sulfur wines since he returned to the family Domaine in 2010. They took their first steps towards organic certification in 2012 and went organic in 2017. The first certified vintage will be in 2020.

Pierre-Henri started the micro-négociant project "Pierre-Henri Rougeot" in 2017, where he sources grapes from the family Domaine and friends. Since 2017, he has gotten better and better year after year. The whites are total knock-out, and reds are dangerous!

Here we are seeing a rising star. The future is bright.

Allocation is extremely limited. Do not miss it!
