Antoine Bernardin, the ex-oenologist assistant at Achillee, created the winery La Petite Odyssee after he left this job. Based in Toulouse in the Languedoc-Roussillon, Antoine started straight to organic and biodynamic conversion with his tiny vineyards. He grows Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Chardonnay, and the rare local grape variety Abouriou.
The wines are made naturally, just as in Achillee. The wines are fermented in whole clusters and only in old barrels. As the production is small, the pressing is done by foot. This gives a gentle press that would not break the seeds and release unwanted tannins. The wines are friendly and perfectly digestible, especially great to enjoy with friends!
