La Petite Odyssée
After leaving his position as an oenologist assistant at Achillée, Antoine Bernardin went on to establish his own winery called La Petite Odyssée. Located in Toulouse in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, Antoine immediately embarked on the path of organic and biodynamic conversion for his small vineyards.
Antoine cultivates several grape varieties, including Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Chardonnay, and the rare local grape variety called Abouriou.
Similar to his previous work at Achillée, Antoine follows a natural winemaking approach. The wines undergo fermentation with whole clusters and are only aged in old barrels. Due to the small production scale, the pressing is done manually by foot. This gentle pressing method ensures that the seeds are not broken, preventing the release of unwanted tannins. The resulting wines are approachable, easy to drink, and offer excellent digestibility—making them perfect for enjoying in the company of friends.
La Petite Odyssee's wines showcase Antoine's commitment to natural winemaking and his desire to create wines that are not only enjoyable but also reflect the unique characteristics of the region.
