Domaine des Jeunes Pousses (Coming Soon)
The story of the “Jeunes Pousses” comes from a long-lasting friendship between Thibault Liger-Belair and Ivan Massonnat. Thibault’s idea was to provide an entire estate to young winegrowers for 3 years and give them the opportunity to learn how to manage a vineyard before they settle on their own. In 2015, Ivan (owner of the Belargus estate in Anjou) became fond of this philanthropic initiative. Together, they decided to start this “Young Shoots” adventure and bought vines and a house to become the wine cellar.
The project provides young winegrowers with 5.2ha of vineyards in organic and biodynamic farming for 3 years in Beaujolais. After 3 years of managing this estate, the “Young shoots” will be able to create their own vineyard. With their experience and the help of the people that supported them during these years of apprenticeship, they will be able to acquire or rent vines and start on their own estate.
From vintage 2020-2022, the winery is under the hands of Angela Quiblier and Hugo Foizel, who have previously worked at Domaine Leroy and Domaine de la Romanee Conti respectively.
