Organic farming practices in Beaujolais are not common, and one that truly believes in it is rare. Antoine understands the importance of organic farming and has put it to a very high standard. Antoine is the new wave Beaujolais that makes us excited.
When starting out, Antoine Sunier's two biggest influences were his older brother, Julien Sunier (who is also a winemaker based in Beaujolais). Learning from mentors such as Jean-Claude Lapalu from Beaujolais, and Christophe Roumier from Burgundy has made him a fast pass to be one of the best Beaujolais winemakers. After acquiring his own Morgon and Régnié vineyards in 2014, his debut vintage has immediately received recognition from around and beyond.
Thanks to his brother Julien's contacts, the vineyards themselves have all been extremely well maintained and farmed organically, the Régnié is in official conversion and the Morgon certified for over a decade. Wines are crafted in a natural way, and easily go along with top names from the region.
Just like their wines, the brothers are kind-hearted, extremely welcoming, and with no rough edges. These are serious terroir-driven Beaujolais and nothing but pleasure while drinking them. This is an exciting young Domaine with a bright future ahead. Do not miss out on these great values Bojos!
